Project Process

Working closely with the architect, developer, and local jurisdiction, our team has designed efficient HVAC systems, domestic water distribution, sanitary and storm drainage, and a coordinated electrical distribution system that supports both residential and commercial uses. Special attention has been given to equipment selection, system zoning, and ventilation strategies to improve indoor comfort, reduce energy consumption, and simplify long-term maintenance for the building owner.

The electrical design includes power distribution, lighting, and controls tailored to the property’s mixed-use nature. High efficacy lighting, automatic controls, and daylighting strategies are used throughout to enhance safety, reduce operating costs, and support code compliance.

As part of the project scope, PE Mechanical has also designed the on-site solar photovoltaic system to help offset common area and tenant electrical loads. The solar design is integrated with the overall electrical system to maximize energy savings and support the owner’s sustainability goals.

In addition, our team prepared the full Title 24 Compliance Report for the project. Through careful coordination of the envelope, mechanical, lighting, and solar measures, the building meets and exceeds California energy code requirements. This mixed-use Fontana development is a strong example of how thoughtful engineering can deliver comfort, reliability, and long-term efficiency for both residents and commercial tenants.
